Gluten Free Lamb Stew Crock Pot Recipe
There are so many advantages to cooking lamb stew in a crock pot / slow cooker when you are gluten free. Apart from allowing your slow cooker to cook unattended (yes, one small convenience in a gluten free non-convenient world), it reduces the chances of cross contamination by limiting the number of dishes, pots and utensils needed to make the dish.
Ingredients:
Carrots
Celery Stalks
Bag of Peas
Red Potatoes (approx 10 – cut into 1/4 pieces)
Lamb Chops (3-4)
Onion
Garlic Cloves
Salt/Pepper
Gluten free beef bouillons/Beef stock
Olive Oil
Directions:
Turn the crock pot on a fill the crock pot 1/2 way with water and add the right amount of beef bouillons to the water (usually 1 bouillon to 1 cup) or add the same amount of beef stock.
Take a skillet pan and heat 2-3 chopped garlic cloves on your stove top in olive oil and then brown the lamb chops (2-3 minutes). Add a bag of peas, cut up celery (as many as you desire), carrots (usually double the amount of celery), one small onion & cut potatoes to crock pot.
Take the browned lamp chops and put them into your crock pot. Add a little salt and pepper and cook. I usually leave my crock pot on for 5-7 hours on low. Once complete, your kitchen will not only smell delicious but you’ll have a healthy gluten free dish to serve your family.
